Before being American or Australian, I am Pakistani, and better understanding and improving the health of the Pakistani community is particularly important to me, even at personal level. My research work with the Pakistani community began in 2018 when I developed a high school program on water management with funding from Johns Hopkins University. Since then, I have assisted in the Urdu translation of several research studies at New York University. As the clinical research coordinator for the "MASALA" study (a study on heart health in Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities), I created flyers and videos in Urdu.
