Publications

Across my 60+ journal articles and book chapters, I have developed a diverse expertise in different health related topics and methodologies, however much of my current research expertise center around:

  • Family and community level contributors to health

  • Diet and cardiovascular disease risk factors

  • Asian, immigrant, and racial/ethnic minority health

I have used my strong methodological background in innovative quantitative, qualitative, and geo-spatial methods to conduct this work. Currently, this expertise is reflected in my recent work on social/family dynamics, program evaluation and implementation science, diet/eating behaviors and the food environment, as well as mhealth and the digital health environment. Additionally, my diverse topical and methodological skillset in public health research is also evidenced in my past work on COVID-19, mental health, environmental health, and injuries/violence.
